Dear Sir,
This letter is a request under the Freedom of Information Act as amended (5 U.S.C.
Section552).
The existence of cracks in the containment of at least one of the Zion reactors has come to the attention of the ISEA. The existence of the cracks was mentioned at a June 17, 1980 meeting between Nuclear Regulatory Comnission staff and Common-wealth Edison officials. At that meeting a report making reference to the existence of the cracks was presented. Neither Commonwealth Edison Company, owner of the Zion plant, nor the Nuclear Regulatory Commission spokesmen questioned will confirm or deny the existence of the cracks. Therefore, I am requesting the following information:
1.
A study entitled, " Static and Transient Response Analysis," by a Dr. Anderson of Los Alamos National Laboratory.
2.
The minutes of the June 17, 1980 meeting and a transcript of the meeting--if a transcript exists-st which the above report was delivered.

All summaries of the meeting written by Commonwealth Edison, NRC officials or other persons.
4.
All documents related to Nuclear Regulatory. Connission and. Connonwealth Edison.
studies on cracks (or including reference to cracks) in the containment structures of the Zion reactors.
