Thank you for your letter of October 28 concerning FEMA's plans to develop public education and information programs on response to an incident at a nuclear power plant.

You requested our cooperation and assistance in providino information to FEMA's contractor, Nancy Low & Associates. Inc.,

(NLA) in developino an information package and other material; for use by State and local emergency preparedness officers. We would be pleased to cooperate in this way.

Joseph J. Fouchard, our Director of Public Affairs, informs me that he already has met with your public affairs staff and representatives of NLA, and we are providing the information they have requested.
