Enclosed please find an original copy (transmitted under separate cover are 5 conformed copies) of Amendment No.1 to the 238 General Electric Standard Safety Analysis Report (GESSAR II) for the above numbered application.

! In the above referenced letter, the Staff requested additional infor-l mation regarding safety / relief valve actuation methodology. In response to this information request, General Electric stated that responses would be provided in the form of an amendment to GESSAR II. Accordingly, Appendix 38 is hereby amended and fully responds to the above NRC infor-mation requests. In order to facilitate your staff's review, we have included in Attachment 0 a complete list of the NRC questions along with references to the appropriate sections that respond to these requests.
