Cause Gescription: The Westinghouse 927D633, Gr. 1, Standard Bistable Ass-..oly used for the Pressurizer Wide Range level Scram tripped at 203 inches vice the Technical Specification limit of 200 in.

This was initially attributed to instrument setpoint drift and the instrument was calibrated and tested satisfactorily.

Further evaluation of the incident revealed that the instrument could possibly have been out of specification since the previous calibration performed 5/27/74. By the procedure effective at that time the Wide Range Level Scram setpoint was adjusted to trip at an indicated level of 200 fi?e while the tolerance on the indicated level was plus or minus 9.4 inches which could have lead to the setpoint being out of tolerance high.

Tne procedure has been revised to adjust the setpoint to an actual level of 180 inches, down 20 inches from 200 inches to allow for instrteent drift.
