Dear Mr. Felton:
Pursuant to the Federal Freedom of Information Act, the Union of Concerned Scientists requests copies of the trans-cript of all Commission and/or Staff meetings since October 17, 1980, to date dealing with the accident at Indian Point Unit 2 on October 17, 1980.
It is our information that at least one such meeting was held on October 24, 1980.
The Commission has scheduled a public meeting on Novem-ber 5 to consider the causes and implications of the October 17 accident.
It would be very useful to have the requested transcript in order to prepare for that meeting.
Therefore, I ask that you expedite this request.
I also request that you waive any charge for copying since release of this material will serve the public interest.
