AFFIDAVIT OF JAMES P. KNIGHT How comes James P. Knight and being duly sworn, deposes and says as follows:
1.
I am employed by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission as Assistant Director For Components & Structures Engineering, Division of Engineering, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.
2.
I have reviewed the " Affidavit of John DeVincentis" and attachments thereto dated November 12,1980 (and filed with the Appeal Board in this proceeding)
~
which sets forth in percentages the present and projected completion for safety-related structures, equipment and materials for the Seabrook facility.
I generally agree with those percentages.
3.
It is my opinion and belief that the continuation of scheduled construction activities at Seabrook over the next six to nine months will not foreclose any reasonable construction alternatives if it is subsequently concluded in this remanded proceeding that seismic-related engineering modifications are required.

4.
Similarly, I do not believe that there are any scheduled construction events over the next six to nine months which when completed, will prevent sub-sequent remeoial construction options which may be made necessary as a i
result of this remanded proceeding.
5.
I am duly authorized to execute this affidavit and I hereby certify that the statements set forth herein are true to the best of my knowledge and belief.
