l Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted on July 7-10, 1980 it appears that certain of your activities were not conducted in accordance with NRC require-ments as indicated below:
Criterion V of Appendix B to 10 CFR 50 states:
" Activities affecting quality i
shall be prescribed by documented instructions, procedures, or drawings, of a i
type appropriate to the circumstances and shall be accomplished in accordance j
with these instructions, procedures, or drawings.
Instructions, procedures, or j
drawings shall include appropriate quantitative or qualitative acceptance criteria for determining that important activities have been satisfactorily accomplished."
t Deviations from these requirements are as follows:
i A.
Section 15.0 of the ASME accepted QA manual requires all measuring and testing equipment used in activities affecting quality to be calibrated at specific intervals.
Contrary to the above, inspection tool identified by serial number 15 was one (1) month overdue for calibration.

B.
Section 15.0 of the ASME accepted QA manual requires the QA manager to maintain a log of serial numbers for calibration.
Contrary to the above, the QA manager does not maintain a serial number log for calibration.
