3RC STAFF RESPONSE TO APPLICANT'S NOTICE OF WITH9RAWL OF APPLICATION FOR CONSTRUCTION PERMIT AND MOTION TO TERMINATE PROCEEDING On February 10, 1981, Applicant Northeast Nuclear Energy Company filed a
" Notice of Withdrawl of Application for Construction Pemit and Motion to Teminate Proceeding" (Motion). The applicant explained, in a letter to Harold R. Denton which accompanies the Motion, that it had detemined that the capacity which would have been supplied by the Montague units would not be needed for the period for which they had been planned and therefore that the Applicant was withdrawing its application. Because of the withdrawl of the application, the Applicant requested the Licensing Board to teminate the above-captioned proceeding. The Staff does not oppose this request and asks that Applicant's Motion be granted.
