Exit Interview The inspection scope and findings were summarized on November 17, 1980 with those persons indicated in Paragraph I above.

Purpose The purpose of this inspection was to review the groundwater monitoring practices and to reevaluate the adequacy of the groundwater monitoring program with respect to detection and quantification of any migration of radiological and nonradiological contaminants in the soil.

Consultant Review The three (LASL) consultant representatives identified in paragraph 1 above, conducted a general site review, interviewed licensee representa-tives, and reviewed specific site data to determine or evaluate the following:

(a) identification of isotopes that could be released into the soil, their chemical and physical forms, level of activity and volume of discharge; (b) waste treatment systems, including both sanitary and chemical systems and their respective transfer hold-up, and storage features; (c) the environmental mo'nitoring systems for on-site and off-site detection, including air, vegetation, soil, surface water, groundwater, i

and potable water sampling; (d) annlytical procedures used by the licensee for environmental sample evaluation, including sample collection, frequency of sampling, sample preparations, radiological analysis, quality control; and (e) hydrology data relative to groundwater monitoring.

No itens of noncompliance concerning monitoring requirements in the facility license were identified.
