SOUTH TEXAS PROJECT UNITS 162 Docket Nos. STN 50-498, STN 50-499 Restart of Safety-Related ash 5 Welding In confirmation of the conversations between your Mr. Crossman and our Mr. Barker, this letter is sent to modify Attachment I line IB of reference (a) to read as follows:
" Component Cooling Water System in the Unit I Mechanical Electrical Auxiliary Building, Cube 3E, 3F and 3J (ASME Class 3, Carbon Steel, approximately 36 butt welds)."
This change does not modify the scope that we requested in reference (a) but is necessary in order to optimize weld joint fit-up and welding.
Please take the necessary steps to appropriately modify reference (b).
