Tie in information between the environmental qualification documentation for the Gems level transmitters and the applicability of this documenta-tion to the Gems level switches will be provided.
RESPONSE
The environmental qualification documentation for the Gems-DeLaval level transmitters (FIRL Test Report F-C3834, tiarch 1974) is also applicable to the Gems-DeLaval level switches. Applicability of the report to the level switches is docur.ented on Gems-DeLaval drawing LS-36497, June 8, 1975, which has been made a part of the central qualification documenta-tion file.

-The applicant agreed to provide the acceptance or applicability criteria that Limitorque uses to determine which environmental qualification test report applies to a given model and serial number Limitorque valve.
. RESP 0!iSE:
Limitorque was contacted and requested to provide the rationale sand applicability criteria used for determining test report application to specific Limitorque valve operators. Limitorque stated that data is established for. the specific operator of co.icern and a data parameter comparison is performed to the tested equipment data to determine applicability of test reports.

ITEM 4:
Concerning the Joy Manufacturing Co. Test Report X-604,this report identified Type RN as the motor actually tested to stated environmental qualification condi tions. The applicability of the results for the tested motor was not established for the Type P motors installed at the Farley 2 Unit. The applicant agreed to establish this missing link. Also an error was identified on the E.Q. test report evaluation sheet in that this sheet identified test report number X-546 for the containme '.coler motors and not X-604. This will be corrected in APCo's response to the NUREG 0588 audit.
Further, test report X-501 as identified on the E.Q. Summary Sheet will be corrected to X-604.
RESPONSE
The Joy Manufacturing Company Test Report X-604 is a generic report which is applicable to all Joy Axivane fans with Reliance electric motors. The containment cooler fan motors, the hydrogen dilution fan motors, and the
- post-LOCA mixing fan motors are all Joy Axivane fans. The fan used in the test was a sixty-inch diameter fan, and was driven by a 150/75 HP Reliance electric motor. The Reliance electric motor used was a 1200/600 RPM motor in a D-500B frame, using Class H, type RN insulation. All installed fan / motor components are of similar construction.
The "P!' designator indicates a poly-
- phase motor.
The motor used in the test and the installed motors are all
- poly-phase and have Class H, type RN insulation.
'The Equipment Qualification Test. Report Evaluation Sheet and the EquipmentLQualification Summary Sheet have been revised to identify X-604 as the applicable test report.

RESPONSE
The referenced inconsistencies consisted of two separate items which have been corrected as follows:
(1) Purchase orders have not been issued for two solenoid 7
valves, Q2E12SV3999A and B (Model #C5439), due to the fact that exact qualified replacements for these particular valves were not available. An engineering evaluation is being' performed to determine a resolution.

SUMMARY
OF OUTSTARIJ T I* EMS As a result of the NUREG 0583 Qualification review, two generic types of cocponents were determined to be deficient in qualification documentation.
These generic types are solenoid valves, both inside and outside the contain-me r.t, and lieit switches, both insida. and outside the containment. The se deficiencieg together witn corrective action commitments and justification for interim operation, are given below.
1.
Soleneid Valves - Inside Containment A total ef 35 solenoid valves inside the containeent were deter =ined g
to have adequate qualification documentation. These solenoid valves not are used on containment isolation valves and perform their safety environment. Should function prior to the effects due to the accident failure occur, the isolation function of these valves would be =ain-O tained and such failure would not adversely affect other safety-related Furthermore, these solenoid valves have high temperature equipment.
