SUBJECT:
MIDLAND FSAR REVIEW SCHEDULE In order to support the SER schedule for Midland Plant, Units 1 & 2, issuance of a single set of requests for additional infonnation has been provided for.
For technical review branches which had already achieved significant review
~ of the FSAR prior to the review suspension following the TMI-2 accident, thit set of requests should be directed to areas needed to update the draft SER (i.e., new requirements, review of design changes, resolution of previous openitems,etc.).
For new branches, the intent is to combine the Q-1 and Q-2 stage and to place increased reliance upon meetings and telephone discus-sions as needed.
Tha key milestones leading to the SER are:
6/15/81 All O's to LPM 8/01/81 Applicant Response to Q's 4/01/82 SER Input to LPM 5/01/82 Draft SER to DL Branch Chief 7/01/82 SER Published Please advise the LPM, Darl Hood, (1) whether this approach of a single set of requests is compatible with your review requirements and (2) of any difficulties in supporting these dates.
