Fire Protection Technical Specifications
Dear Sir:
This letter submits revisions to the proposed changes in Reference (c), which are necessary to incorporate the staff concerns discussed in a paavious phone conversation. These revisions are summarized below:
1.
Page 3/4 7-32, Diesel Fire Pump Surveillance - (1) the minimum fuel storage tank inventory has been changed to 175 gallons which is sufficient to permit 8 hours9.259259e-5 days <br />0.00222 hours <br />1.322751e-5 weeks <br />3.044e-6 months <br /> of pump operation, and (2) the diesel minimum test run duration has been changed to 30 minutes.

Page 3/4 7-39, Foam System - the surveillance requirement for the foam system has been changed to require verification that the foam tank is full.
3 Page 3/4 7-40, Fire Barrier Penetrations - no change to our existing technical specifications is required as a result of our recent modifications.

Page 3/4 7-33, Spray and Sprinkler Systems - the Emergency Diesel Generator Cubicles and Auxiliary Boiler Room sprinkler systems have been added to the list of required spray and sprinkler systems.
