Dear Mr. Denton:
In the reference letter, SNUPPS transmitted to the NRC an uncontrolled copy of Revision 1 to the subject quality assurance program description.
Revision 1 was prepared to reflect clarifications and igreements resulting from NRC review comments and was subsequently endors_; by NRC letter of Dec. 22, 1980 from fir. Youngblood.
The purpose of this letter is to provide NRC, Attention, Mr. Haass, Chief Quality Assurance Branch, with Revision 2 to the subject program descrip-tions. The substance of this revision is as follows:
O incorporates changes in the Daniel International Corporation Quality l
and Technical Services organization. These changes are intended to i
strengthen the function and independence of the Daniel quality effort I
and are applicable to the construction of Callaway and Wolf Creek plants.
The substance of these changes were reviewed with NRR Project Manage-ment and Quality Assurance Staff on August 13, 1980.
O clarifies project commitments as they relate to the procurement and acceptance of simple off-the-shelf items. These clarifications are intended to permit off-the-shelf, commercially-available items to be accepted on the basis of receipt inspections without need for supporting l
quality verification documentation or preaward evaluation.

A number of other minor changes are also included in Revision 2; these are l
limited to updating of organizational' relationships applicable to the Wolf Creek unit. A similar updating is in preparation for Callaway. These l
modifications are minor in nature and neither detract from nor inhibit pre-l vious licensing or quality program commitments.
