UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET NO. 50-255 CONSUMERS PCWER COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMEN 0 MENT TO PROVISIONAL OPERATING LICENSE I
The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Comission) has issued Amendment No. 52 to Provisional Operating License No. OPR-20, issued to Consumers Power Company (the licensee) which revised the Technical Specifica-tions for operation of the Palisades Plant (the facility) located in VanBuren County, Michigan. The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
The amendment revises the limiting condition for operation for the auxiliary feedwater system.
The application conplies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Comission's rJies and regulations. The Comission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Comission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment. Prior public notice of this i
i amendment was not required since the aaendmen': does not involve a significant i
hazards consideration.
The Comission has determined that the issuance of this amendment will l
not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR 5 51.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statement or negative declaration l
and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this amendment.
