J. Halapatz visited Harold Bell in the design offices of Bechtel Corporation i
(Gaithersburg) to review drawings and other design information regarding piping systems that penetrate the containment. The purpose was to identify components of the piping systems that are a part of the containment pressure boundary and therefore must meet the fracture toughness requirements of General Design Criteria-51.
The following components were selected for audit of the materials used therein i
