Inscection of Plant Hatch Unit 2 jet pump astemblies has been comoleted as required per I&E Bulletin 80-07, "BWR Jet Pump Assembly Failure."

Visual examinations by remote underwater television cameras of the Unit 2 jet pump structures, hold-downs, hold-down beam assemblies, and wedge and restrainer assemblies revealed no abnomal wear, stress, or failed welds.

Ultrasonic examinations utilizing General Electric pro-cedure TP-508.0642 (Rev. A) were also conducted on the jet pump hold-down beams at the midlength ligament areas bounding the beam bolt. It was determined that no cracking existed at those locations.

Visual and ultrasonic inspections of Hatch Unit 1 jet pump com-ponents are scheduled for examination during the Winter 1981 refueling outage scheduled to begin in February.

If you have any questions in this regard, please contact my office.
