Operating License No. DPR-73 Docket No. 50-320 Submerged Demineralizer System Your letter dated December 24, 1980, requested that we provide our schedule for submittal of the SDS Safety Evaluation. Discussion with your staff has indicated that you expect that we shall pro-vide to you our written safety review. Furthermore, this review should consider I. E. Circular 80-18 in the criteria specification in 10 CFR 50.59(a)(II). We expect to be able to reference the Technical Evaluation Report, which includes a safety evaluation, and show how the safety analysis contained therein meets the specific requirements of a 50.59 review.
We should like to meet with members of your staff to discuss the scope of this document. Assuming no substantial surprises from this meeting, we anticipate our submittal to you to be no later than February 6, 1981.
