Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
'I This letter responds to your letter dated October 1, 1980 concerning BWR Scram Systems'.
Your letter requested that we inform you of our plans to participate in the BWR Owners Group efforts to develop design and performance criteria for BWR scram systems.
As stated in our responses to I.E.Bulletin 80-17 and its supplements 1, 2, and 3, the tests, equipment and procedure verifications and any required design modifications will be completed prior to returning to power operation.
Furthermore, an assessment of our present scram system to confirm conformance with the General Design Criteria of 10 CFR 50 Appendix A will be performed as applicable prior to returning to power operation.
