This is to inform you, in accordance with the requirements of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act, that the NRC has not completed licensing action on your export license application XB001105 for the export of 904 micrograms of Californium-252 and 250 milligrams of Neptunium-237 to Taiwan to be used for plant start-up operations at Taiwan Nuclear Power Plants Units 7 and 8.
Although favorable Executive Branch views on your application were received by the NRC on October 28, 1980, final NRC licensing action has been delayed because your license application is being reviewed in conjunction with NRC's review of the pending facility export license applications for Taipower 7 and 8.
Executive Branch views on these applications were received on December 16, 1980. The staff is presently preparing its analysis on these l
proposed exports for submission to the Commission.
