This is to inform you, in accordance with the requirements of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act, that the NRC has not completed licensing action on your export license application XCOM0442 for two incore neutron detectors to Switzerland for use in the Beznau 1 and 2 nuclear reactor facilities (your ieference number ZE-10327).

Final NRC licensing action has been delayed because of the need to clarify certain issues concerning how the NNPA criteria are satisfied with respect to exports to Switzerland.

Infonnation on this matter is being obtained from the Exe:utive Branch.

Please be assured that the staff will act expeditiously on your license application upon resolution of these issues.
