MOTION FOR WITHDRAWAL OF j 7 CONSTRUCTION PERMIT APPLICATIONS -
On May 14, 1980, Potomac Electric Power Company requested that the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board issue an order term-inating this proceeding. The request was based upon the Company's withdrawal of its application for an early site review of the Douglas Point Nuclear Generating Station. This withdrawal was based on load growth forecasts which continued to indicate that there was little possibility that construction would be commenced within the validity period of any Early Site Review findings.
For these same reasons, Potomac Electric Power Company hereby requests, pursuant to 10 CFR S2.107 (a) , that the constructics
, permit applications for the Douglas Point Nuclear Generating Station, filed on August 8, 1973, be withdrawn.
