The Comission* was briefed by staff on Environmental releases at NFS-Erwin, the kinds of controls at Erwin and other related concerns.
The Comission* requested that staff prepare a paper discussing:
- the length of time radioactive material is retained in the body and the reason radiation dose levels vary between children and adults.
estimates of the possible health effects caused by the largest release period; and the upper bound of the quantity of uranium released during the accident and the health effects associated with the ' release.
