Application Amendment T-15 NRC Cert.ificate of Compliance USA /498G/B()F With reference to your request for a consolidated application for renewal of the NRC Certificate of Compliance for GE's RA-series shipping package, General Electric Company hereby submits this renewal application as an attachment to this letter Three specific actions were taken in the consolidation of this application:
o Information still relevant to the RA-series shipping package from all previous amendment applications was consolidated into this renewal application.

The number of drawings pertaining to the RA-series shipping package as referenced in the NRC Certificate, were reduced l
from fifty-five to five, o
Some descriptive information related to models of the outer container no longer in use was removed.
j No significant changes were made in descriptive information of the package in this application as obtained f rom the previous amendment applications for the RA-series packages, except for the package drawings.
For t hese drawings, descriptive details of package construction which are related to package integrity and safety in transport were extracted from the original drawings in the previous l
applications (as referenced in the revision 8 to the latest package l
certificate) and consolidated into a total of five drawings for the dif ferent model s of the HA-series inner and outer containers currently in use or planned for future use.
l We are at this time requesting that you extend the NRC Cortificate i
presently in force to March 31, 1981, wh il e you are reviewing this l
application, to enable us to continue shipment of fuel assemblies in the RA-series package to foreign countries wi t hout encountering dif ficul ties with obtaining renewals of shipmen t authorizations by governments of these countries which are based upon the U. S.
NRC and IAEA certificates.
