'l 7 'H MOTION FOR AMENDMENT OF PROTECTIVE ORDER $ ,C In a Protective Order dated June 27, 1980, this Board approved a settlement agreement on the inspection of a document known as the " Reed Report." This Protective Order allowed Mr. Doherty to inspect certain proprietary General Electric information. Subsequent to his inspection of this information, provided by General Electric as agreed, Mr.

Doherty entered the further request to inspect certain

. sections of the Reed Reporti. While not agreeing with Mr.

Doherty's assertions of relevance, General Electric Company has indicated its willingness to provide verbatim extracts from the Reed Report to the extent they contain information l

on the eight items from the so-called list of twenty-seven j safety-related items set cut in Mr. Doherty's letter request, i

provided that an appropria' amendment to the existing-1 Protective Order and confidentiality agreement was issued.

l Therefore, Applicant moves this Board to amend the June 27, 1980, Protective Order by substituting the following for ordering Paragraph 2:

IT IS HEREBY FURTHER ORDERED THAT, subject to Paragraphs 3 and 4 of this Order, those items l of the " list of twenty-seven so-called safety-

. related items," which are relevant to Intervenor Doherty's contentions shall be identified, a l current status report of those items and in i addition verbatim extracts from the Reed Report to the extent they contain information relevant to Items Nos. 2, 5, 6, 7, 11, 18, 21 and 25 shall, in accordance with the procedures

! specified in Paragraph 3 of this Order, be produced for Mr. Doherty's inspection in Houston, Texas, at a mutually convenient time and place.

Attachment A of the June 27, 1980, Protective Order

I should also be amended to add the following to Paragraph C:

c. Verbatim extracts from the Reed Report to the extent they contain information relevant to Items 2, 5, 6, 7, 11, 18, 21 and 25 from the list of twenty-seven so-called safety-related items.

The unamended remainder of the June 27 Protective Order would remain in full force and effect. Counsel for Applicant has been authorized by Mr. Doherty to represent to

this Board that he does not object to the entry of the amend-l ment as set forth above.

WHEREFORE, Applicant respectfully requests that this Board issue an amendment to the June 27, 1980, Protective Order i
