Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
I.E.Bulletin 80-23, entitled " Failures of Solencio Valves Manu-factured By Valcor Engineering Corporation," requested that each licensee determine whether Valcor solenoid valves were used to perform safety-related functions in their f6cilities.
In accordance with this request, Alabama Power Company conducted a review of safety-related systems at Farley Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2.
It has been determined that no solenoid valves manufactured by Valcor have been utilized in any raf ty-e related function in either Unit 1 or 2 at Farley Nuclear Plant.
As requested in your letter transmitting tha subject bulletin, an estimated 16 manhours were expended in conducting this review.
