SUBJECT:
MEETING IN SILVER SPRING TO DISCUSS LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST Purpose To discuss with representatives of Combustion Engineering (CE)~a proposed request for amendment to the CE License No. SNM-1067 to change the organization for nuclear criticality and radiation safety at the Nindsor Facility.
Place and Date NMSS office in Silver Spring, Maryland, November 10, 1980.

G. A. Johnstone, Supervisor, Health Physics & Safety G. J. Bakevich, Nuclear Licensing Consultant U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Connission:
N. Ketzlach, NMSS J. Roth, IE Region I Discussion An advance copy of the amendment application was reviewed for discussion at the meeting. The responsibilities and qualifications for positions identified in the application were clarified during the discussion.
CE will withdraw the amendment application and submit a new one incorporating the suggested modifications.
CE personnel informed us that their renewal application is being prepared in accordance with guidance given them during the preparation of our
" Standard Format and Content for the Health and Safety Sections of Renewal Applications for Uranium Fuel Fabrication Plants." Their renewal application should be submitted within 30 days.
