NRC ISSUES REPORT ON CONSUMER PRODUCTS CONTAINING RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has published a report containing a contractor's assessment of the environ-mental impact of consumer products containing radioactive material.
The NRC expects the report prepared by the contractor, Science Applications, Inc. (SAI) of La Jolla, California, to be an important source of information for a generic envi-ronmental impact statement to be written in the future on consumer products containing radioactive materials.
A copy of the report, " Environmental Assessment of Consumer Products Containing Radioactive Material," (NUREG/
CR-1775) is avai.lable for public inspection and copying at the NRC Public Document Room, 1717 H Street, N.W., Wash-
