P.O. Box 1788 Olyapia, Washington 98504 Gentlemen:
As discussed in a fiovember 7,1980 telephone conversation between myself and Ms. Kirner of your department, the schedule for completion of the Uranium Recovery Licensing Branch's environmental assessment of the Dawn Mining Company license renewal will be affected as follows.
Information essential to our renewal assessment (details of reclamation plans) was requested as part of our review of the below grade tailings proposal. The Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) set a fiovember 30, 1980 date for Dawn's submittal of this inforv.stion.
Therefore, it will not be possible for our assessment to be completed by December 1,1980, as originally scheduled.
Subject to receipt of Dawn's submittal by the.date requested, we have rescheduled the completion of our renewal assessment for early January,1981.
If you have any questions concerning the above, please contact D. Gillen of my staff at 301/427-4538.
Sincerely, John J. Linehan, Section Leader l
