-/9 FOR INFORMATION CONCERNING TMI-2 ACTIVITIES Until my assignment to the Special Inquiry Group, I had very little input to the NRC response to the TMI-2 accident. During the first few days following the accident, I was contacted by a number of utility and vendor personnel requesting information regarding the accident and the plant status. However, inasmuch as I had no first hand knowledge, our conversations were generally limited to discus-sions of media accounts of the event.
I also was involved in arranging for staff participation at a number of ACRS Subcommittee and Full Comittee meetings which were devoted exclusively or primarily to the discussion of the TMI-2 accident.
However, I did not participate in the technical discussions at these meetings.
In general, I would judge my participation in the NRC response effort to be neg-(hS ligible up until the time I was assigned to the Special Inquiry Group.
