SUBJECT:

INFORMATION CONCERNING TMI-2 ACTIVITIES This is in response to the memo dated June 6,1979 from R.C. De Young, requesting information on involvement of individuals in the TMI-2 response.

I was at the TMI site from April 12, 1979 through April 26, 1979. During that period I served as the supervisor of the IE In-Plant Health Physics group. This group consisted of a lead man and two or three inspectors on each of three shifts.

I reported to George Smith, IE:I, who was the Director of the entire IE Health Physics effort at TMI-2.

In my assignment, I directed and reviewed the efforts of the IE In-Plant Health Physics group, made assignments, made recomendations concerning size of staff, and made certain that inspectors were rotated back to their Regions after appropriate times at TMI, and that replacements were available.

I also had 3 or 4 meetings with Met Ed management and TMI Health Physics staff concerning problems or shortcomings observed by the IE In-Plant Health Physics staff.
