SUBJECT:

OF THE SITING POLICY TASK FORCE This memorandum is in response to your request dated October 14, 1980, for a comparison of the Sailly site with the recom:aendations of the Siting Policy Task Force.\\The Enclosure provides this comparison of the Bailly site with each of recqarnendations of the Report of the Siting Policy Task Force, NUREG-062S. Le Soffer (X23438) and the project manager, Dave Lynch (X28413) can provide ad tional detailed information related to Enclosure 1.

Also enclosed is a portion of a draft staff paper which attempts to prior-itize sites based on residua \\ risk frem an accident (see Enclosure 2).

This grouping is based on popNation density and distribution within 30 niles of the plant site. The B\\ illy site is listed in the Above Average group; however, numerical listin within the groups are not significant since these listings were made ap' betically.

We will be happy to provide any furt. r information on this matter that you feel is necessary.
