Letter Eisenhut to PSC dated October 1, 1980 (G80169)
Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
This letter is in response to the above referenced request for information concerning any environmental qualification testing that PSC has scheduled within the next two years.
PSC is in the process of scheduling equipment environmental qualification testing for Steam Line Rupture Qualification for new equipment to be installed at Fort St. Vrain.
The tests will not address areas such as radiation, chemical sprays, submergence and the other environment concerns addressed by IE-Bulletin 79-018.
With this in mind, it is felt that PSC originated testing (HTGR environmental criteria) will be of little use industry wide (LWR criteria).
PSC test infonnation can be provided after tests have been scheduled.
