In accordance with the requirements of I&E Bulletin 79-01B, "F.nviron-

mental Qualification of Electrical Equipment", dated January 17, lo0, Georgia Power Company submits the attached response for Items 1 through 6 for the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant - Unit 1.
This submittal represents an extensive review of the environmental qualification of electrical equipment within the scope of the bulletin, both inside and outside the containment.
Our response demonstrated that the' equipment is capable of satisfying safety requirements. The attached response compares Unit 1 electrical equipment to the D0R guidelines con-tained in enclosure 4 to I&E Bulletin 79-018.
Items identified for which full equipment qualification cannot be demonstrated have been noted as
" outstanding items" on the component worksheets in accordance with Item 4 of the bulletin and a justification for continued operation and corrective action planned is presented in the report.
