1 BOMB' THREAT =
l At 8:40 a m. on October 1',
1980, a dispatcher at the Russellville Police Dept.-

(Arkansas) received a ' telephone call which conveyed the message, "a bomb is set
_ at_the Nuclear Plant." The dispatcher believed,the voice to be a tape recording of a male. :It was very quick and there was no opportunity to respend..The dispatcher notified Horce.Hollis,'the. Security Manager. The Plant management notified the Resident Inspector, who in turn notified the Region.
'Mr. Hollis also notified the FBI and the Sheriff's office who-then met at the police depart-l ment to evaluate the situation. 'The Physical Security Branch is maintaining liaison. The State Programs: representative notified the State'of Arkansas. The' IAT has been notified.: No news releases are planned.
The site management initiated a search and is evaluating the situation.- No evacuation was-planned.at the' time of this notification. Law enforcement ~au-
-thorities traced the call to a pay phone on site.
Police are fingerprinting.
