Dear Mr. Denton:
Per Reference (a), Commonwealth Edison Company provided a tentative schedule for submittal of advance information packages on the Zion Near-In-Site Study.
Enclosed is the first of several packages of this information entitled " Zion 1 and 2 Component Failure and Maintenance Data, Section B.1, B.2, and B.3."
Although the data section of this packabe is not 100% complete, the main suostance of the section is represented and suf ficient for NRC Staff review.
Since this material is still subject to refinement and expansion, it has been stamped " draft".
Commonwealth Edison requests the NRC Staff to limit dissemination of the enclosed information to those persons / organizations performing the review function, primarily to avoid inadvertent utilization of the information out of context.
The enclosed information addresses Zion Station only.
The Indian Point material will be forwarded by the appropriate utilities under separate cover.
Please address any questions that you may have concerning this matter to this office.
One (1) signed original and thirty-nine (39) copies of this letter are provided for your use.
Eight copies of the enclosure are enclosed for your use.
