JAN 2 81921 MEMORANDUM FOR: The Files FROM:
R. Neal Moore, Sr. Licensing Officer Export / Import and International Safeguards, OIP
SUBJECT:
FINDINGS RELATING TO THE PROPOSED IMPORT OF LOW-ENRICHED URANIUM BY SEPARATIVE WORK UNIT CORPORATION ISNM 81001 On January 20, 1981, SWUC0 submitted an application for a license authorizing the import of 1,205 kilograms of uranium as UF6 enriched to 2.4% U-2?2. The material will be imported from Germany in one type 30B cylinder and ulivered l
to the DOE gaseous diffusion complex.
This request is essentially the same as previous requests to import low enriched UF ; for example, ISNM 780017, and represents no material change 6
in circumstances from conditions and findings which existed at the time of the earlier imports.
The import does not present an undue risk to health and safety or to the environment and will not be inimical to the common defense and security. The staff recomends this license be issued.
