NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Comission) has issued Amendment No. 56 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-1, issued to Portland General Electric Corpany, the City of Eugene, Oregon, and Pacific Power and Light Conpany (the licensees), which revised Technical Specifications for operation of Trojan Nuclear Plant (the f acility) located in Columbia County, Oregon. The amendment is effective as of the date of issuance.
The amendment incorporates new requirements in the form of license conditions, limiting conditions for operation, and surveillance require-ments for instruments and equipment as well as shift manning requirements i
resulting from the NRC's assessment of the accident at Three Mile Island Unit 2.
The application for the amendment conplies with the standards l
and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the e
Act), and the Comission's rules and regulations. The Comission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Comission's rules and regulat'4ons in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.
Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since this amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
