Dear Mr. Ahearne:
I am very concerned about the delay in restarting TMI-1. Since the accident at TMI-2 and the NRC studies subsequent to it, changes in design and proceedure have been implemented and other plants of similar type have been allowed to start up again. Customers in the TMI area have been paying fuel surcharges for substitute power for almost two years now, some of it for foreign oil we as a nation can ill afford to be dependent on.
I urge you to, with all.lpossible speed, to do what is necessary to bring TMI-l back into operation.
