s Sigma Instruments, Incorporated International Instruments Division Docket No. 99900284/80-01 NOTICE OF VIOLATION Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted on August 5-7, 1980, it appears that certain of your activities were not conducted in accordance with NRC requirements as indicated below:
Paragraph 21.6 of 10 CFR Part 21 states in part, "Each individual partner-ship, corporation or other entity subject to the regulations in this part, shall post current copies of the following documents in a conspicuous posi-tion on any premises, within the United States where the activities subject to this part are conducted (1) the regulations in this part, (2) Section 206-of the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974, and.(3) procedures adopted pursuant to the regulations in this part.
"If posting of the regulations in this part or the procedures adopted pursuant to the regulations in thia part is not practicable.
. in addition to posting section 206, post a notice which describes the regulations / procedures, includ-ing the name of the individual to whom reports may be made, and states where t
they may be examined."
Paragraph 3.1 of Sigma Instruments, Inc., International Instruments Procedure for Report of Defects and Non-Compliance Per 10 CFR 21, dated May 5, 1978 states, "A notice must be posted which will describe the regulation / procedures, including the name of the individual to whom reports may be made and states where they may be examined."
Contrary to the above, posting of 10 CFR 21, Section 206 of the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974, and internal procedures, had not been accomplished as required.
This is a deficiency.
The posting requirements or 10 CFR Part 21 were accomplished prior to the l
close of this inspection.
As a result, a written response to this item is not required.
