It is our opinion that nothing in the report or in this letter is of a proprietary natunt.

Our response to the item of noncompliance cited in Appendix "A" of the report is as follows:

1. Corrective Action Taken and Results Achieved Henry J. Kaiser Company Special Process Procedure Manual (SPPM) 4.5 has been revised to implement the SNT-TC-1 A 1975 edition rather than the 1968 edition. This revision eliminates the discrepancies noted by the inspector.

2. Corrective Action to be Taken to Avoid Further Noncomoliance Further noncompliance will be avoided by review of SNT-TC-1 A

• requirements when later editions or supplements are issued in order to assure continued compliance.

3. Date When Full Comoliance Will Be Achieved This item is considered to be in compliance at this time.
