August 3, 1979 Gentlemen:

35 counts o f management negligence...

incredible daydreams of venting krypton gas into our atmosphere...

already, 4000 gallons of radioactive water illegally dumped into the Susquehanna river--

and no onn knows a thing about it...

March 28 1979 and the chaos that followed--

7 and Met-nd (and You) swore it could never happen...

you obviously were lying Since it did,ing your job.

My question--

and/or not do why are all of you still holding your jobs?

If I don't do my job, I'm fired....

currently contaminated Met-Ed victims forced by the hennsylvania Public Utility Commission to pay for Met-Ed and the IIRC's screw-up -- eight times more than Met-Ed's stockholders...

Perhaps if YOU had to raise children under the fear of not knowing how much radiation you have received (and will receive in the future), your pro-nuclear stance would change in a minute.

Disrespe c + fully, f

Dear Mr. Feehrert Y

This is to acknowledge your message to President Carter l

about the Three Mile Island nuclear power facility.

Since the heavy volume of mail prevents the President from responding personally to each communication he receives, he has asked thes departments and agencies of the Federal government to reply on his behalf in those instances where they have special knowledge or special authority under the law.

^

For this reason we are forwarding your correspondence to officials of the Nuclear Regulatory Comminnion.

You may expect to hear from them shortly if they can provide any pertinent information.

With every good wish, sincerely, l

Dear Mr. President,

This is the second time I've written you regarding Three Mile Island.

The initial letter was sont four days after March 28,1979--the day Metropolitan Edison nnd the HRC cwore would ncycr happen.

Time has neither diminished the horror and stupidity nor my apprehensions...of Mot-Ed in particular and nuclear energy as a power supply in general.

_. Met-Ed's latect innocence--400.0 gallons of radioactive water illegally dumped into the Sucquehanna river, and thef.: don ~'t know

^

how it happened.

This dishonorable company has a verifiable history of choddy book-keeping, dubious and costly rato incroaces--

and if March 28 docan' t toll the-3:orld how Met-Ed operates, then everyone is deaf and blind.

Obviously, revocation of their li-conce (how did they over.get one in the first place?) should be a's natural and logi-cal here as breathing.

Nuclear oncrgy is not the alternative to foreign oil--unless, of course, we cond them generating ctations like Three FEle Island.

Perhapa if all of those who blindly cupport nuclear energy had to raise their children under the hideous aura of not know-ing how much radiation they've already re-s e M e M[UJL XL@ ~

i-coived, how much they're currently receiving, and how much additional contamination they'll receive in the future-plus the horrid idea no one really knows how long we'll all live because of March 28-their pro-nuclear stance would change in one minute.

Hopefully
