Enclosed please find three applicatons from Combustion Engineering, Inc.,
for licenses to export two power reactors, initial cores, and three reloads each to Taiwan for Taiwan Power Company Nuclear Unit:; 7 and 8.
Before taking action on these license applications, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspec-tive of the Executive Branch, as to whether the proposed exports meet the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act as amended by the Nuclear Non-proliferation Act of 1978.
