South Texas Proj ect Units 162 Docket Nos. STN 50-498, STN 50-499 Environmental Qualification of Safety-Related Equipment - Test Programs to be Conducted On October 23, 1980, Houston Lighting & Power Company received a letter from your office (ref. ST-AE-HL-606) in which all licensees of operating plants and applicants for operating licenses and construction permits were requested to voluntarily supply information concerning the testing of equipment for environmental qualification.
Specifically, it was requested that HL&P provide information relative to environmental qualification tests to be conducted within the next two years on equipment used or to be used at the South Texas Project. At present, HL&P is in the process of having its Vendors / Suppliers contacted to obtain the requested information. A letter transmitting the requested information will be submitted to your office by January 29, 1981.
