This reiers to the special inspection conducted by

Roberds of this office on August 13-20, 1980, of radiographs of nuclor piping assemblies, located at the South Texas NPS, fabricated by your f ac:.lity at Housten, Texas and to :he discussions of our findings with you and Mr. R. P. Bornes at the conclusion of the inspection.
This inspection was =ade as a result of infor=ation provided to :his office by Region II of the Office of Inspection and Inforcement, relating :o a non-conformance that has been identified in Souchuest Fabrica:ing and Welding Company nuclear piping assemblies furnished to the 7. C. Su=mers Unit 1 si:e.
Areas examined and our findings are discussed in the enclosed reporr.
Within these areas, the inspection consisted of an examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Wi:hin the scope of this inspection, we found no inecance where you failed to neet NRC requirements.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the Com=1ssion's " Rules of Practice,"
Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter together wi:h :he enciesed inspection repor will be placed in the Commission's Public Document Room.
