Dear Mr. Tatom:
As agreed upon during April 1980, the Memorandum of Understanding between Arkansas Power & Light Company (AP&L) and the State of Arkansas, relating to the notification of the State of envircnmental releases of radioactive material, will expire on November 1, 1980. However, the Memorandum commits AP&L and the State to review the Memorandum of Understanding prior to November 1, 1980, to mutually agree upon further reporting.

Until such requirements are reestablished, it is the intent of AP&L to continue reporting environmental releases of radioactive material in-accordance with the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding now in effect.
