Dear Mr. Eisenhut:

Clinton Power Station Units 1 & 2 Docket Nos. 50-461 and 50-462 Construction Permits No. CPPR-137 & CPPR-138 In response to your October 1, 1980 letter regarding Environmental Qualification of Safety Related Equipment, we offer the following information regarding Clinton Power Station:

1. The equipment description is partly included in FSAR Tables 3.10-1 and 3.11-9. We are developing further information on this subject and will submit an FSAR amendment.
2. The systems where the equipment is installed are also included in FSAR Tables 3.10-1 and 3.11-9 and are in the same status of FSAR amendment preparation.
3. The tests will be performed either in the vendor shop, or by a subcontractor hired for the qualification.

Most of the equipment has already been tested. A schedule for the tests which have not yet been completed is being prepared and should be available by about January 1, 1981.

4. The cognizant licensee contact for matters related to the tests is-Mr. A. L. Ruwe.
