The scope of these questions involved the identification of the electrical equipment

required to perform safety functions while be'ng subjected to design basis L/
accidents. This information was transmitted o you by our submittals dated February 2k, 1978, March 23, 1978, and Nove=1 er 30,1978.
Later, URC letter dated February 15, 1980, transmitted NRC Guide.l.ines for Electrical Equipment Qualification (EEQ) and NRC letters dated "creh 6, 1980, and March 28, 1960 provided a schedule and revised schedule, respectively, for responding to the EEQ topic. An Order nodifying the Big Rock Point Plant Oper-ating License, requiring submittal of Environmental Qualification Information for Electrical Equipment, by November 1, 1980, was issued by the NRC on August 29, 1980. That Crder was subsequently revised and reissued on September 19, 1980.
The attached report entitled, " Environmental Qualification of Safety-Related Electrical Equipment-Big Rock Point Plant", dated October, 1980, is being trans-mitted to you as our response to the Environmental Qualification of Electrical Equipment issue for the Big Rock Point Plant as well as to satisfy the require-ments of the Order codifying our license.
