A. E. Lundvall, Jr. to D. G. Eisenhut letter of December 14, 1979, subject; Follow-up Actions Resulting frcm TMI-2 Incident (Lessons Learned)

Gentlemen:

This refers to your letter of July 31, 1980, which imposed interim criteria for shift staffing. At present, shift staffing for the Calvert Cliffs units complies with the criteria set forth by your letter in that two SOL holders are assigned to each shift when one or both units are in operation. As described by reference (a), our Shift Technical Advisor program includes the assignment of a third SOL holder to each shift when both units are operating. Please refer to this reference for details of that program.

Should you have further questions regarding this matter, we would be pleased to discuss them with you.

Very truly yours,.
