Letter from L. 14.11111s to L. S. Rubenstein dated liay 1, 1980 Section III. A.1.2 of Supplement No. 2 of the Safety Evaluation Report for Sequoyah Nuclear Plant requires TVA to meet requirements of HUREG-0696,
" Functional Criteria for Emergency Response Facilities." NUREG-0696 provides guidance en the design of the Technical Support Center (TSC). The schedule for the TSC included in D. G. Eisenhut's letter (reference 2) calls for submittal of the conceptual des 1 n by January 1, 1961, and imple-E centation by April 1982.
TVA previously submitted a brief description of the plans for the TSC and a prelimincry schedule by reference 2.
TVA is now revising its schedule as a result of the new guidance provided in NUREG-0696. TVA will meet the schedule provided by reference 1.
Any interim modifications previously considered by TVA that are inconsistent uith the long-term TSC design wi'l not be implemented.
